Director
Having grown up in Burundi, Ruben Vandenhoeke, our director, developed a special affinity for this continent’s most extraordinary places. This together with his passion for quality and his knowledge in tourism translated in the establishment of Nature Lodges Ltd. A longstanding dream to come true.

Staff
All our lodges are managed and run by Ugandan staff who ensures a real African hospitality. Where possible we have recruited people from the surrounding community and trained them in house. This resulted in extremely professional, friendly and motivated staff. Our success story: our manager of Kibale Forest Camp who evolved over the years from night watchman to room attendant to waiter and barman to a highly capable manager.

Bart Munting:
Active since 1996 in the tourism industry, Bart Munting is often considered as the pioneer of Dutch tourism in Uganda. Not only is he the owner of Habari Travel, one of the leading Dutch travel agencies in East Africa, but also co-runs Gorilla Tours, an independent Ugandan Tour operator.
